Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming _Lucknow Central_ is about a group of prison inmates who form a band within the walled premise of a jail and find their way out. Hence, songs of the film play a crucial part in the story. [caption id=“attachment_3860935” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] ![The poster of Lucknow Central. The song is reported to be composed using a lot of natural sounds like mouth and body percussion. The makers of the film took to Twitter on 15 August and released a teaser of the song:

A report by Mumbai Mirror states, ‘Teen Kabootar’ has been sung by Mohit Chauhan and Divya Kumar. But the most interesting part of the song is the percussion sound that Tabla maestro Zakir Hussain’s percussionist younger brother Taufiq Qureshi has rendered. Speaking more about the song, Arjunna Harjaie, the music-composer of the film, told Mumbai Mirror, “Since it’s a jail setting, we couldn’t use many musical instruments so we thought of using a cappella (a singing act without instrumental accompaniment). But it seemed too westernised so, to give it an Indian touch, we decided to use mouth and body percussions besides also using plates and buckets. We have used mouth percussions to replicate certain instrumental sounds as well as a touch of guitar in the song.” Qureshi has reportedly used different layering of voices to render sounds like “gutar-gu” made by pigeons for the song. He has previously used mouth percussion in songs like ‘Havan Karenge’ in Akhtar’s 2013 film, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and the title track of Dhoom 2, reports Mirror. The song has been picturised on Akhtar and his inmates, Deepak Dobriyal, Gippy Grewal and others. It has been choreographed by Bosco and also includes a hook step which Akhtar feels is “going to catch on big time.” Lucknow Central stars Farhan Akhtar, Gippy Grewal, Deepak Dobriyal, Inaamulhaq and Rajesh Sharma, along with Ronit Roy who plays a police officer and Diana Penty, who plays an activist. Directed by Ranjit Tiwari and produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Emmay Entertainment, the film is slated to  release  on 15 September 2017.
