The blockbuster combo of megastar Thalapathy Vijay and filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj has once again made the box office registers ringing with their latest outing Leo. The action-thriller, which released yesterday has shattered multiple records and earned over Rs 145 crore on its first day globally. With this insane feat, it has turned out to be the biggest Indian opener of 2023 beating Adipurush (Rs 140 crore), Jawan (Rs 129.6 crore), Pathaan (Rs 106 crore) and Jailer (Rs 72 crore). Among the above-mentioned films, the Prabhas starrer witnessed a drastic dip after a humongous day because of negative word-of-mouth. While Leo has also garnered a mixed response, the film will continue its phenomenal run as the advance bookings are insane for the Dussehra weekend. As per the early estimates, it has raked in over Rs 75 crore in India while $7.50-8 million in the international markets.
Also starring Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, Arjun, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan and Priya Anand, the music of Leo is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. It is bankrolled under the banner of 7 Screen Studio, which is head by SS Lalit Kumar.
