Lakshmi's NTR teaser: Ram Gopal Varma's depiction of former Andhra Pradesh CM promises authenticity

The first part of  Krish’s biopic of NT Rama Rao failed to make a considerable impact at the box office and it did not woo the critics much either. Ram Gopal Varma’s version of the film is, however, slightly different. As per reports, the filmmaker guarantees a more authentic depiction of the legendary, larger-than-life personality in his Lakshmi’s NTR. Varma released the teaser of the film recently.

The teaser gives a brief glance into the the character. The protagonist’s choice seems to be commendable as there seems an undeniable similarity. YouTube screengrab[/caption] The feature is expected to focus on the journey of the former chief minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh post his marriage to Lakshmi. The union was believed to have led to various family feuds and disputes within the political party as well. Ram Gopal Varma had earlier faced severe criticism for taking a dig at Chandrababu Naidu with a song from the film. As per reports , Varma’s effigies were also burnt by members of Naidu’s political party. Watch the teaser here.
