Lakme Fashion Week: Bipasha Basu looked smashing in Bibhu Mohapatra’s collection

“This girl is on fire; she is walking on fire.’’ The show stopper of the grand finale of the Lakme Fashion Week for Bibhu Mohapatra’s ‘Come Home’ collection was none other than Bipasha Basu, smashing all stereotypes, she simply rocked at the ramp wearing a red gown. Bipasha,  who gave birth to baby girl Devi last year. She flaunted her curves on the runway with confidence and style. So, no more body shaming. Its time to enjoy every stage of your life. Bipasha recently  shared a clip on her Instagram account and captioned, “Love yourself at every stage of your life. Wear your confidence.” Her husband and actor Karan Singh Grover commented, “I do I do love yourself with my breath.” She looked glorious in a red gown at the Lakme Fashion Week.

The House of Lakmē Grand Finale brought the curtains down at Lakmē Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI with New York based CFDA Award winner, Indian designer, Bibhu Mohapatra’s ‘Come Home’ collection. The evening was a special one as it marked the launch of the House of Lakmē. A step into the future, the House of Lakmē brings together the brand’s leadership in beauty and its pioneering vision in bringing to life India’s marquee fashion platform – Lakmē Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI, to create immersive beauty and fashion experiences for the consumer.

Hosted at the al-fresco Fountains at Pragati Maidan, Delhi, the nostalgic show marked a special homage to Lakmē’s heritage. For the very first time, the evening saw legendary Lakmē muses of the past and present walk the ramp. Some even ‘Born at Lakmē’, have emerged as iconic talents in the beauty and fashion world. The muses included Ananya Panday, Lisa Haydon, Bipasha Basu, Vipasha Agarwal, Simone Singh, Carol Gracias and Shimona Nath. It was also a celebration of Bibhu’s roots and heritage in India. His collections have always spoken a language of sheer beauty and sophistication and have been coveted by the stylish global woman.
