Actress and social media influencer Kusha Kapila recently opened up on her divorce with Zorawar and revealed how she became the villain in everything she went through while speaking to The Lallantop in an interview.
She revealed how she was unable to express her feelings when she was going though this turmoil last year. She also stated how she called him up and what happened next.
And now, in an AMA session on Instagram, when asked about being roasted and trolled for her divorce by Samay Raina, Kapila said one day, she’ll open up about the same. She also wrote- “Not my first time on the rodeo. In the large scheme of things, nothing matters. Probably when I have processed all of it, will speak about it on a level-headed podcast (lol do we have any) or maybe never. We will see. This profile continues to be a safe space for my female and queer followers.”
Kusha said, “I was scared that a new news cycle would be built on this. I remember calling Zorawar and he told me not to feel pressured to do this. he said ‘We will do this when you want to.’ I was so scared that day that I could not even write what we had shared on social media. The statement had my dog Maya’s name and people thought that I was a mother. I reached out to everyone I could for help as to what should I do as the news cycle got really big and I became a big villain. After that statement, I could actually find peace and calm in my life.”
Kapila took everyone by surprise when she announced her separation from her husband Zorawar Singh Ahluwalia back in June last year after almost five years of marriage. She was recently a part of the India Today conclave. During the event, the influencer made a big revelation saying that she was completely bullied into sharing the news of her separation from Zorawar Ahluwalia.
