The show began with host Karan Johar discussing the actors' latest releases. Khurrana's Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho, were back to back unexpected hits at the box office. Johar asked how Khurrana felt about the positive response to his films and whether he always aspired to be in this profession. To this, Khurrana said he had wanted to be an actor when he was young and told his grandmother about it. So he formed two street theatre groups in Chandigarh, became a radio jockey and was also part of the reality show Roadies. He also revealed that he had rejected five film offers before zeroing in on Vicky Donor as his debut.
Johar mentioned that Kaushal was also not from a family of actors and was more or less an industry outsider. The director remembered working with him in Bombay Velvet in which he had a minor role. Kaushal said that he always wanted to be an actor but never thought he was conventionally good looking enough to be a Bollywood star.
As usual, host Karan Johar prodded the actors about their personal lives. While Khurrana is married, Kaushal confessed that he has been in a steady, serious relationship. Though the actor did not share his partner's name, he is often rumoured to be dating actress Harleen Sethi.
The episode also revealed that Khurrana was initially called Nishant and Johar was named Rahul Kumar Johar but his mother Hiroo had a dream that he should be named Karan.

The rapid fire round was a tie. Khurrana said Bhumi Pednekar was his favorite actor to work with, he wanted to star with Alia Bhatt in a film and would take Deepika, Anushka and Katrina on a vacation. He also said he would drop everything if he had the opportunity to be directed by Rajkumar Hirani and wished he was as tall as Kaushal. He chose Tabu over Neena Gupta as both him and his father have had a long held crush on her.
Meanwhile, Kaushal pretend-fainted on hearing that Katrina wants to work with him, said he wanted to star in a Shoojit Sircar film and loves, hates and tolerates Ranbir Kapoor's chilled out attitude. He admitted that he felt he would have been a better choice as lead for Bhavesh Joshi Superhero and would have liked to act in Khurrana's role in Andhadhun. When asked to choose between Hirani, Johar and Anurag Kashyap, he chose Kashyap.
Khurrana will be next seen in Dream Girl while Kaushal's next release is Uri: The Surgical Strike. He is also part of Johar's magnum opus Takht.
