The ninth episode of Koffee With Karan Season 8 saw the Singham duo Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty gracing the couch with their charismatic presence. The duo spilled coffee and insights on various topics like their bond for the last 20 years, Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2’s success, the failure of Ranveer Singh’s _Cirku_s, and the most controversial debate on nepotism. During the intriguing conversation with the host of the show, Karan Johar, Ajay Devgn spoke in favor of nepotism and opened up on his kids’ plan of joining the entertainment industry. Ajay Devgn, during his recent appearance on the show, dismissed the debate on nepotism highlighting the misconception around the perceived easy journey of star kids. He also refuted the claims that they are served everything on a platter and said, “People don’t realize that the generations have worked and worked very hard to reach till here. It’s not an easy story…The struggle is the same for everyone and you have to work hard. Everybody has to do that."
Emphasizing how both his ankles are broken, the Tanhaji actor shared, “People don’t see that part of your hard work. They just think ‘They get everything handed to them.’ We don’t.” When asked about his daughter Nysa Devgn’s further plans to make her Bollywood debut, Ajay noted, “Right now she doesn’t want to be (come into the acting world). I don’t think she wants to be but tomorrow if something changes they will run a 20-year-old interview that Ajay Devgn said this but right now, there is zero percent chance.” Ajay Devgn, on the work front, was last seen in Bholaa. The film failed miserably at the box office. Now, he is gearing up for the release of his next film, Auron Me Kahan Dam Tha, directed by Neeraj Pandey. Besides, he will also be seen in Shaitaan which also stars R Madhavan, Janki Bodiwala, and Jyothika in the lead roles. Then comes his most awaited project titled Singham 3. It will be directed by Rohit Shetty. Meanwhile, his film Maidaan has also been postponed to release next year.
