Khushi Kapoor set to make her debut in 2019, announces Karan Johar on No Filter Neha
Khushi Kapoor will feature opposite Javed Jaffrey’s son Mizaan in an upcoming 2019 feature, confirmed Karan Johar
Karan Johar recently revealed on the chat show No Filter Neha that Boney Kapoor and Sridevi's daughter Khushi is set to make her debut in 2019, added reports. The second daughter of the famous actress and filmmaker will follow her sister Janhvi, who made her debut opposite Ishaan Khatter in Dhadak.
The film that Johar was referring to features Khushi and Jaaved Jaaferi’s son Mizaan. Johar stated that Mizaan was a great dancer and a potentially big star while Khushi was gorgeous and lovely.
Reports also added that Mizaan is set to be introduced by director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. However Khushi's other projects are yet unknown.
Johar has almost become the unwitting champion of nepotism since the filmmaker is (in)famous for launching star kids in his features. His 2012 film Student of the Year launched the careers of Mahesh Bhatt's daughter Alia, David Dhawan's son Varun and Sidharth Malhotra. The film's sequel will also see Chunky Pandey’s daughter Ananya Pandey.
Karan spoke about Alia and how close he felt to her. He said the last time he cried was when he saw a performance that the actress had given in one of her upcoming projects. He said that whenever he saw Alia perform, he almost felt like he was watching his daughter on screen.
Alia will be featuring in Karan's upcoming Takht, which also stars Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Kareena Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi and Anil Kapoor. Talking about the film, Johar added that it was probably the most passionate project that he would ever be involved with, especially since he was obsessed with the Mughal period in history. The era's visual texture, controversial content, political betrayals, love, lust and madness attracted him as a filmmaker.
The trailer of Atrangi Re will release tomorrow, 24 November
John Abraham, once an experimental actor and symbol of unassuming masculinity, reduced to a demolishing machine today
Ironically, John Abraham was a punch-up, anti-establishment emblem sex symbol in his prime. The most unobvious of male leads — handsome, and yet approaching something other than the sum of his handsomeness.
'I'm very happy that I can carry this legacy forward and even if I get 20 percent of the respect that my father has earned, I would be very happy,' says Ahan Shetty.
