'KGF' star Yash to play Hanuman in 'HanuMan' sequel after essaying Raavan in Ranbir Kapoor's 'Ramayan': Report

The Teja Sajja star HanuMan recently released and became a blockbuster, and the makers are gearing up for a sequel. And for its much-awaited part two, they are eying to cast KGF star Yash for the role of Hanuman, as per a report by Bollywood Hungama. A source told the portal, “There is some confusion in the Mumbai press over the casting of Bajrangbali Hanuman. Firstly, Teja Sajja played Hanumanth in HanuMan and he will play the same role in the sequel Jai Hanuman. Secondly, Lord Hanuman will also be a prominent part of the sequel. And yes, Yash is a very strong contender for the part. He was never considered for the first film.” The source added, “This is a false narrative flying around in the Mumbai media. But he is most likely to play Lord Hanuman in the sequel. Teja Sajja is not playing Lord Hanuman. He is playing Hanumanji’s bhakt Hanumanth.” The star is already playing the role of Raavan in Nitesh Tiwari’s _Ramayan_ that stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram. While fans are super-excited for this biggie, the lead star is undergoing extensive training on his voice and diction before the film goes on floors. “Ranbir has a certain baritone and a way of speaking his lines. It is symbolic and if you have even closed your eyes, you can recognise a dialogue purely based on Ranbir’s voice. In ‘Ramayana’, Nitesh wants to make sure Ranbir sounds different from the characters he’s played in the past. Being a versatile actor, Ranbir is enjoying this process of trying something new,” said a source to India Today. As per the PinkVilla report, Ranbir Kapoor will be staying away from alcohol and meat during the shoot of Ramayana. Sources also informed, “These are not things he would avoid just for his public image, but also as a dedicated actor Ranbir wants to feel as pure and clean as Sri Rama. In any case, Ranbir is not into late nights and wild parties.”
