Filmmaker Kunal Kohli, known for helming films like Hum Tum and Fanaa, has reacted to the KBC controversy, where a 5th-grade child from Gujarat named Ishit Bhatt garnered criticism for his overconfident and rude behaviour with Amitabh Bachchan in one of the recent episodes.
Calling him an irritating child, Kohli took to Instagram stories and wrote, “That irritating child on KBC grows up to be that irritating Director who’s going on bad mouthing the family that gave him a break, and along with them the whole film industry. Both need a lesson in basic etiquette, manners and civil behaviour.”
Talking about the viral episode, as soon as Bhatt sat on the hot seat, his confidence soon turned into arrogance as he interrupted Big B and said, “Mere ko rules pata hai isliye aap mereko abhi rules samjhane mat baithna (I know the rules, so don’t start explaining the rules to me right now.).”
However, the megastar handled the situation with humour. Big asked next, “How many kings are there in the game of chess?” To which Bhatt replied, “Is this a question to ask?”
His assertive and overconfident approach was seen throughout the episode as Ishit pressed the options before they were provided and said, “Arre option daalo (Come on, give me some options).” During the time of locking the answer, he said, “Sir ek kya uss mein chaar lock lagado, lekin lock karo (Sir, not just one, put four locks on it, but do lock it).”
When Big B asked a question about Ramayana, he voluntarily asked for options and ultimately gave the wrong answer, leaving the show without any winnings.
Smart kid, but this video reminds us, no matter how intelligent we are, humility always wins hearts. ❤️#KBC #LifeLesson pic.twitter.com/cbej4zZoHS

The veteran superstar addressed the situation and said, “Kabhi kabhi bachhe overconfidence mein galti kar dete hai (Sometimes children make mistakes due to overconfidence).”
