Amitabh Bachchan calls family 'mini India', says 'becomes sandwich at home'

Amitabh Bachchan has begun the Family Special Week on his popular quiz-based game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 15. In its latest episode, Big B opened up about the diversity in his family while speaking to one of the contestants. The superstar said that many members of his family come from different parts of the country. He went on to add although he loves he fact, it also makes him a ‘sandwich’ at home.

“I can completely understand, even I become a sandwich at home with everyone. However, what I like the most is the fact that my family is so diverse,” Hindustan Times quoted Amitabh Bachchan as saying.

The 15th edition of Kaun Banega Crorepati premiered on 14 August on Sony TV. In the 52nd episode that aired on 24 October, Big B interacted with contestants Chamatkari Chattopadhyay, Dhrubarub, Sunirmala and Nandita.

Amitabh Bachchan calls family ‘mini India’

Speaking about his daughter Shweta Bachchan who tied the knot with Raj Kapoor’s grandson Nikhil Nanda, and son Abhishek Bachchan who is married to Aishwarya Rai, Amitabh said, “My daughter married someone in Punjab and my son in the south. We have people from all across the country, it’s like a mini India and we love it.”

Shweta Bachchan got married to businessman Nikhil Nanda in 1997 and the couple have two kids - Navya Naveli Nanda and Agastya Nanda. Abhishek Bachchan, on the other hand, married Aishwarya Rai in 2007. They have a daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan.

Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 15 airs from Monday to Friday at 9 pm on Sony TV. The show also streams on the SonyLIV app.

Amitabh Bachchan’s work commitments

On the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan recently appeared in Ganapath alongside Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon. He will be seen next in Kalki 2898 AD with Prabhas and Deepika Padukone. Big B will also share screen with Rajinikanth in Thalaivar 170.
