At the ongoing Red Sea Film Festival 2024, Kareena Kapoor Khan slayed as always. This was her second year at the festival. Talking to Firstpost in an exclusive interview at the Red Sea Film Festival red carpet, Kareena said, “I was here last year, which was absolutely amazing. But this time, I think it’s larger, and we have so many different kind of movies from all over, which we’re good to see, and I’m very excited.
Talking about her craft and how she has evolved as an actress, she said “It’s not about box office numbers. Of course at some point in my life that was it, but I feel actors today are also looking at life beyond that.”
When asked about exploring new roles and cinema changing, Kareena replied, “I think it’s a great time for women in cinemas,” adding, " I’m enjoying making those different choices and there’s a lot more now that’s gonna come.”
On the work front, Kareena Kapoor Khan was seen in The Buckingham Murders, which released in September this year. Directed by Hansal Mehta, the film also featured Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, Daniel Eghan, Rukku Nahar and Keith Allen in prominent roles.
Firstpost gave the film 4 stars and wrote, “The best thing about the film is that there is no unnecessary shouting or drama, there is sharp silence which is like a knife making a deep wound and that is what makes The Buckingham Murders movie all the more gripping. The film has also garnered tremendous appreciation at the BFI London Film Festival 2023 and the 2023 Mumbai Film Festival, with people speaking highly of the film.”
