Karan Johar’s son Yash has been named after his late father Yash Johar, whereas his daughter Roohi’s name is a derivation of his mother Hiroo’s name.

No wonder Karan Johar dons multiple caps. Aside from being one of the most sought-after filmmakers in Bollywood, he is also a doting father to his kids, Roohi and Yash. While not much is known about that aspect of the director’s life,  he recently opened up about being a father during a recent conversation with Pinkvilla. During the interview, Karan Johar was questioned whether there is anything he aspires to do going forward. Replying to this, KJo said that he wished to work with legends such as Amitabh Bachchan, Lata Mangeshkar, and Rishi Kapoor.   Karan Johar on dreaming about Kids Roohi and Yash Karan Johar also talked about his dreams beyond movies. The Dharma head revealed that he dreamt of having children and when he became a father, he felt like one of his most beautiful dreams had come true. He said, “I dreamt of having children and when I had them I feel like that was one of my most beautiful dreams that were fructified and now I dream for them."   For those who do not know, Karan Johar embraced parenthood back in 2017. The filmmaker welcomed twins, a girl, and a boy, via surrogacy at Mumbai’s Masrani Hospital. While his son Yash has been named after his late father Yash Johar, his daughter Roohi’s name has been delivered from his mother Hiroo’s name. Karan Johar keeps on treating internet users with adorable moments with his little bundle of joys on social media. Karan Johar on working with Salman Khan KJo was also asked about Dharma Production’s collaboration with Salman Khan. Answering this, Karan Johar said that he has the deepest respect for Salman Khan and his entire family. He added that his father Yash Johar was extremely close to Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan. Karan Johar stated that Salman Khan saying yes to his film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol has never left his heart. Talking about working with Salman Khan, KJo said, “I will speak about it when the time is right.”

On the work front, Karan Johar recently returned to direction after a long gap of seven years with the romantic entertainer, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. With Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt as the leads, the venture also starred Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan in pivotal roles.
