Months after announcing a brand-new show with the streaming giant Netflix, the beloved stand-comedian Kapil Sharma finally came back with his long-awaited project. Titled ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show,’ the show saw Kapil Sharma uniting with none other than Sunil Grover, followed by friends cum colleagues like Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Rajiv Thakur, and Archana Puran Singh.
But are fans all happy with the return of the show? As per a video shared by Garima Kumar on Instagram, some fans have shared mixed reactions and the reason is the show’s migration to OTT from TV. The unaffordability of Netflix subscription is one of the reasons why some fans have expressed their disappointment. The first episode dropped on the streaming giant on March 30.
One user wrote- “You are totally true yaar I was watching this show with my family but now we can’t afford Netflix so there is no chance to watch it’s new season.” Another one said, “Netflix trying to control their churn rate in India by increasing customers, and what better than KS show. Reduces subscription cancellation They might do some price play to make it cheaper.” A third one stated, “Billions of middle class people need to get educated, take care of themselves, and grow and develop themselves… I think it’s good that they can’t afford TV.”
As soon as the announcement was made last month, fans got pretty excited, sharing their reactions in the comment section. Many have been eagerly waiting for the comedian to return and, of course, for the much-needed reunion between Kapil and Grover following their ugly fallout a few years ago. The show was originally announced in December 2023, adding much to the fans’ excitement.
