Kapil Sharma gets married to Ginni Chatrath in Jalandhar; couple to hold reception in Mumbai on 24 December

Comedian Kapil Sharma exchanged wedding vows with longtime girlfriend Ginni Chatrath on 12 December in an intimate ceremony in Jalandhar. Sharma took to Instagram and announced the news.

The Indian Express report s that the celebrations were attended by Sharma’s colleagues and friends Sumona Chakravarti, Krushna Abhishek, Rajiv Thakur and Bharti Singh, along with her husband Harsh Limbachiyaa, among others.

The pre-wedding festivities , including a jagran, mata ki chowki, mehendi ceremony and sangeet, were conducted in Amritsar, where Sharma’s mother Janaki Devi lives. Videos and photographs of the events have been widely shared on social media by the guests.

The wedding will be followed by a reception on 14 December in Amritsar as well as another reception for his colleagues in Mumbai on 24 December.

Following these, the comedian will begin shooting for The Kapil Sharma Show. The teaser for the second season was recently released and showed how comedy brings people closer from different societal strata and acts as the ‘best medicine’ for an ailing person.
