National Award-winning actor Manoj Bajpayee is truly a great example of an outsider making it big in Bollywood. Having done an excellent job in films, OTTs, and even television, a few reports now suggest that the actor is planning to join politics and will be contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Bihar’s West Champaran seat. Just when the Internet started talking about it, the actor broke his silence and his response was nothing short of hilarious. On X, formerly Twitter, Manoj, reposting a report shared by a news portal, dismissed the rumours. “Achcha ye bataiye ye baat kisne bola ya kal raat Sapna aaya? Boliye boliye! (So tell me, who said this or did you see a dream last night? Please tell!), he said.

Notably, this was not the first time the actor spoke about joining politics. He, earlier, clarified that there was no question of joining politics. This came after he met Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and his son in 2020, thus sparking speculations. Earlier in December 2023, Bajpayee also spoke about how the political parties have been offering him the opportunity to contest elections for the past two decades, but he was not interested. In a conversation with ABP, he revealed having a deep interest in politics but added that he didn’t want to join it and preferred thriving in acting. On the work front Manoj Bajpayee had three back-to-back releases last year with Gulmohor, Sirf Ek Bandaa Kafi Hai and _Joram_ . Next, he is gearing up for the release of his upcoming Netflix series, Killer Soup, alongside Konkona Sen Sharma. The show will be released on 11 January.
