Kader Khan's son on Govinda calling veteran actor a 'father figure': He did not bother to call even once

Following the death of veteran actor and screenwriter Kader Khan , many of his former co-stars and collaborators have mourned his loss on social media. Govinda , who frequently collaborated with Khan, in an emotional message on Twitter, called him a “father figure.” [caption id=“attachment_5814601” align=“alignnone” width=“825”] Kader Khan. Image from Twitter[/caption] However, Khan’s son Sarfaraz feels differently about the gesture. In an interaction with IANS, he said, “Please ask Govinda how many times he inquired about his father figure’s health. Has he even bothered to call us even once after my father’s passing away? This is the way our film industry has become.” He further said that while his father was close to many people in the film industry, he loved and missed Amitabh Bachchan the most. Sarfaraz said that the actor passed away surrounded by family. He also said that the family intended to carry Khan’s legacy forward. Previously, Shakti Kapoor  had also spoken about how lonely Khan was during his sickness and pointed out that people only remember him after his death. Even Shatrughan Sinha was of the view that everyone needs to take better care of artistes so that they don’t feel neglected. As per reports, Khan was suffering from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, a degenerative disease that causes loss of balance, difficulty in walking and dementia. The last rites ceremony was conducted in Canada.
