Jr NTR 'shocked, saddened' after Devara co-star Saif Ali Khan attacked with knife in robbery attempt: 'Wishing and praying for his...'

Saif Ali Khan, who is getting treatment at Lilavati Hospital after multiple attacks with a knife from intruders at his Mumbai residence during a robbery attempt, has been getting support and recovery wishes from fans and celebs across the nation.

Jr NTR, who shared screen space with Saif Ali Khan in Devara , shared that he is ‘shocked’ and ‘saddened’ to hear about the attack.

“Shocked and saddened to hear about the attack on Saif sir. Wishing and praying for his speedy recovery and good health,” Jr NTR wrote on X.

Actress-filmmaker Pooja Bhatt tweeted on X questioning the safety of people living in Bandra tagging Mumbai Police and politicians and CM Ashish Shelar, Eknath Shinde, Ajit Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis.

Niraj Uttamani, Lilavati Hospital’s chief operating officer revealed that Saif Ali Khan was hospitalised at 3: 30am with six injuries of which two are deeper.

“One of the injuries is closer to his spine. Neurosurgeon Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Leena Jain, and anaesthetist Nisha Gandhi are operating on him. We will be able to tell the extent of the damage only after the surgery is done,” he said.

Saif Ali Khan’s official team team confirmed the details, with an official statement, which reads, “There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing a surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter. We will keep you updated on the situation.”

Kareena Kapoor’s team also shared an official statement, which read, “There was an attempted burglary in Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s residence last night. Saif had an injury on his arm for which is in hospital, undergoing a procedure. The rest of the family is doing fine. We request media and fans to be patient and not speculate any further as the Police is already doing their due investigations. Thank you all for your concern.”
