Veteran actor and ace comedian Johny Lever needs no introduction. In a podcast with Ranveer Allahbadia, he spoke about Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan and their working styles. The trio worked together in Rakesh Roshan’s Karan Arjun.
Lever revealed, “Both Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar are hardworking but there’s a difference. SRK was weak in fight, he was weak in dancing. Salman Khan and SRK, we are doing Karan Arjun. In that, Salman was doing a perfect take, there would be retakes because of him. Salman would mock SRK. That man has worked and made himself a star. He is now a pro in dance, he can fight too now.”
The actor added, “Salman is free and doesn’t take much tension. He is a great character, busy in his own world. So, it’s about the nature. Over time, whatever SRK did, people started liking it. People liked his attention to detail. Women would die for him while men would be jealous of the star. But he would be focused on his work.”
Johny Lever and Shah Rukh Khan have acted together in films like Baazigar, Karan Arjun, Koyla, Yes Boss, Baadshah, Chalte Chalte, Asoka, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Dilwale, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
The bond between SRK and Salman Khan
In 2018, Shah Rukh appeared on the Salman Khan-hosted reality game show ‘Dus Ka Dum’, during which he reminisced his early days. Mentioning how he used to have meals at Salman Khan’s place, the actor went on to express his gratitude towards Salman’s father Salim Khan.
“The first time I came to Mumbai as a struggling actor, I used to have food at Salman’s place. They used to support me a lot. Salim Ji blessed me. It is because of them that I have become Shah Rukh Khan,” the actor said in his statement.
That was not the first time SRK had expressed his gratitude to the Khan family. During an appearance on Salman Khan’s show, the actor was seen saying that his entire family will remain grateful to Salman and his family for all the support and love that he has received from them.
Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have been friends for the longest time. Despite having a major fallout in 2008, the two were seen coming back together during Salman’s sister Arpita Khan’s wedding in 2014. The two actors have also worked in many films together like Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, and Karan Arjun, besides playing cameos in each other’s films.
