Jawan: Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment files petition in court to stop film's piracy

Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is on its way to becoming another Rs 500 crore blockbuster for the actor. However, it too fell into the trap of piracy akin to many other movies in the past. Move by Red Chillies Entertainment Khan’s production house has moved the Delhi High Court to get the WhatsApp groups, and Telegram Channels that were found guilty of leaking the film suspended. One of the accused that was named in the row was Rohit Sharma and the police are likely to take against him. The row began when footages from Atlee’s film were leaked online months before the official release. Atlee talks to Firstpost on the film’s idea My idea was to bring in the right emotion in the film and that’s how we cried in the film, got motivated in the film and that’s how I got inspired by what I read on news while making the film. I think a film is not just about entertaining. You need to take something back home. I think we are taking back good emotions and that is the cause of _Jawan’s_ success. It’s a national film. I read in a Variety magazine that Jawan is the second highest watched film in the world. I always make my films for the global audience. I don’t like to restrict my film to a certain region or a certain group of people. The theme of Jawan There are many crippling issues Jawan deals with, and Khan and his army of infuriated women, try to strike a balance between victimhood and vigilantism. They talk about corruption in hospitals, defense, and government, with the final speech of Azad talking about voting responsibly. All these sermons would’ve acted like sleeping pills had it not been for Atlee’s treatment of the film as an action thriller, and Khan’s dual role. He also plays the father named Vikram Rathore, who may have lost his memory but can still break bones with ease and swag, and lots of style too. Both the father and son have been wronged at some point in their lives, and joining hands only means two angry men for the price of one.
