Jawan: Aaliyah Qureishi reveals how Vijay Sethupathi gave her acting masterclass

The movie boasts a star-studded cast and remarkable stunt sequences. Jawan’s success is not only a source of joy for the audience but also for the cast, particularly the younger actors, who haven’t stopped celebrating. Aaliyah Qureishi, who portrayed the character of Jhanvi in the film, recently opened up about how it felt like a homecoming for the entire team. In an interview with The Indian Express, Aaliyah shared that the team had worked together for two years, which had forged strong bonds, making them feel like a family. “And to see it resonating with so many people is too exciting,” she expressed. In an earlier conversation with the news portal, Aaliyah shared her insights on working alongside Shah Rukh Khan , describing it as a valuable learning experience just to be in his presence. While Aaliyah did not share screen time with Deepika Padukone in Jawan, she mentioned that meeting the actress during the screening and later at the party in Mannat was a delightful experience. “Koi baat nahi, agli picture kar lenge (No worries, we will work together in another picture). But it was really nice to party with her,” she said. When being asked about Nayanthara , Aaliyah praised her as a ‘powerful’ woman both on and off the screen. She also highlighted Nayanthara’s kindness, recounting their interactions since they first met. “We have seen her take on a new journey as she even welcomed her babies. It was really fun to have her around,” she said. The young actress then extended her admiration for Vijay Sethupathi. Aaliyah Qureishi acknowledged although they didn’t have the opportunity to collaborate or have a conversation during the filming of Jawan, she had a chance to meet and engage with him at a party after one of the movie’s events. Aaliyah revealed, “I met him at a party after one of the Jawan events and got a chance to speak to him. I usually ask all senior actors about the advice they have for young actors. He was so amazing, he gave me a full masterclass on acting at the party. What impresses me most about him is how he is dedicated towards his craft.” She concluded by saying that Vijay Sethupathi would occasionally bring an acting coach onto the set to collaborate and brainstorm, aiming to enhance the quality of the scenes.
