Jaden Smith to make his India debut next month at VH1 Supersonic festival in Pune

On his first visit to India, rapper Jaden Smith will be seen performing for a music festival in Pune next month.

Will and Jada Pinkett Smith's son, Jaden Smith, is coming to India to perform at a music festival in Pune. With over 800 million streams for his music, the young budding artist is expected to draw huge crowd at the festival. The 20-year-old actor-rapper-songwriter will be seen performing at the VH1 Supersonic festival in Pune. The fest will be held over two days — 16 and 17 February.

A source close to the development revealed to Mumbai Mirror, “Grammy-nominated DJ Bonobo aka Simon Green, American DJ Marshmello were already part of the festival line-up and Jaden recently confirmed his presence. Indian artistes like Blackstratblues, Arjun Vagale, Lost Stories and Ash Roy among others will also be performing."

Incidentally, Jaden Smith had piqued the Indian Twitter when he tweeted saying, "I want to be in a Bollywood movie." Twitterrati was quick to respond by photoshopping his pictures with popular Hindi movie posters.

Jaden began his career with a cameo in his father, Will Smith's 2002 release Men in Black 2. He went on to play the protagonist with Will in the much-loved The Pursuit Of Happyness (2006), and M Night Shyamalan’s After Earth. Jaden has also shared the screen space with Jackie Chan in the movie The Karate Kid. He has two albums 'Syre' and 'Erys' to his credit.

While this is Jaden's first visit to India, Will has come to Mumbai every year since 2016. Most recently, he he shot for a song with Student of the Year 2 leads Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria.
