Ishaan Khatter and Bhumi Pednekar’s show The Royals that streamed on Netflix recently received mixed reactions from users and critics. It has now been renewed for season 2. But a recent post on the show by Baroda’s Maharani Radhikaraje has gone viral.
She didn’t mince words and wrote a rather long note that read- “The Royal Ignore. One would imagine the royals of India, a community abundantly chronicled, photographed, biographed, and today well-positioned in a range of arenas from politics, hospitality, to magazine covers.”
And now, in a new interview, Khatter has spoken about how he had a fight with the makers but not in a bad way. The actor revealed, “It’s that kind of character jo shirt nahi pehenta hai. To be honest, now it will look like… but since I had committed I went for it, but I did fight with them on certain days that ‘I can wear shirt in this scene.”
He added, “It doesn’t require him to be shirtless.’ They had very interesting ways to put this into the script like I can out on a blanket while sleeping… but I had fun doing it.”
He also shared, “The director told me that I will have to lose all the muscles for Homebound. I was like, ‘yeah’. He said you will have to look normal.”
Ishaan Khatter and Bhumi Pednekar’s ‘The Royals’ has been renewed for another season after the first one just dropped on the streaming giant.
The OTT giant shared the news on their Instagram page and wrote- “Old money, new blood and a new season is in the works 👑🐎
The Royals Season 2 is coming soon, only on Netflix.”
One user wrote- “Yasss!!! We need more of Nora!!” Another said, “Can’t wait to see which hotels will be featured next.” A third commented- “Very Excited to watch season 2 of the royals. Bhumi is just fantastic in the show. We need to see more of Sophia. Bring it on….”
