Anushka Sharma was all set to give her fans a new film after the 2018 dud Zero. This was Indian Cricketer Jhulan Goswami’s biopic called Chakda Xpress. The actress was preparing for the role before the pandemic happened. The film was all set to release directly on Netflix.
There have been a lot of reports that there was a fallout between the streaming giant and the producers of the film Clean Slate Films. It has been more than four years and the fate of the film continues to hang in the balance. They have a lot of reports that the film has been shelved.
Goswami has now said, “Mereko aisa koi news nahi hai (I don’t have any such news), aur call mujhe kar rahe sab! Mujhe koi comment nai karna,” she said according to Hindustan Times.
Sharma has penned a heartfelt note as Virat Kohli announced retirement from Test cricket. She wrote- “They’ll talk about the records and the milestones — but I’ll remember the tears you never showed, the battles no one saw, and the unwavering love you gave this format of the game.”
She added, “I know how much all this took from you. After every Test series, you came back a little wiser, a little humbler — and watching you evolve through it all has been a privilege.”
Sharma continued, ‘Somehow, I always imagined you’d retire international cricket in whites — But you’ve always followed your heart, and so I just want to say my love, you’ve earned every bit of this goodbye.’
What Kohli wrote
This is what his long caption on Instagram read:
‘It’s been 14 years since I first wore the baggy blue in Test cricket. Honestly, I never imagined the journey this format would take me on. It’s tested me, shaped me, and taught me lessons I’ll carry for life.
