Rani Mukerji graced the IIFA 2024 event as she won the Best Actress award for her performance in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway.
The film is directed by Ashima Chibber and written by Rahul Handa, Sameer Satija and Chibber, is based on the true story of an Indian couple whose children were taken away from them by Norwegian Welfare Services in 2011. Rani Mukerji is truly the ultimate queen of content.
On the green carpet of the event, Mukerji exclusively told Firstpost about how she and cinema have changed in the last 28 years since she has been working. The actress said, “I have changed. I was 17 then and now I am like 46. So yes there has been a lot of change and of course audiences have changed over the decades and what is constant I would like to believe is their love for me and I can’t grateful more because the kind of love and support and the unconditional love that I have received from them over the years, that has kept me going. So I thank my fans on the bottom of the heart to help me strike harder and help me to keep battering my skills.”

Filmmaker Ashima Chibber’s movie Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway starring Rani Mukerji revolves around a mother’s fight for her two young children who were literally snatched away from her on the grounds of bad parenting by the Norway Children’s Welfare Program.
