IIFA 2019: Andhadhun leads with 13 nominations, Raazi and Padmaavat follow with 10 each

As the countdown to the biggest celebration of Indian Cinema worldwide draws near, International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards announces nominations for its 20th edition. Indian Cinema has had an incredible journey past year with a varied number of truly distinctive films that not only took the box office by storm but were also critically acclaimed fetching rave reviews.

After winning the National Film Award honour for Best Feature film in Hindi, Ayushmann Khurrana's Andhadhun has fetched maximum nods, 13 in total, closely followed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Padmaavat and Alia Bhatt's Raazi, with 10 nominations each. While Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju has been nominated in seven categories and Ayushmann’s Badhaai Ho receives nods in six categories.

While Andhadhun has received nominations for the best picture, actor, lyrics and playback singer, Andhadhun also got a nod in technical awards in various categories including sound mixing, screenplay, editing and background score
