Remember the iconic Hollywood horror film Bride of Frankenstein (1935)? It had veteran actress Elsa Lanchester in it and soon after, she became the horror movie icon who lived for 84 years and carved a niche for herself in this genre. She did eventually pass peacefully but the mystery around her remains made a lot of noise post her passing away.
The remains of the iconIt has been widely reported that Scott Michaels, the founder of Dearly Departed Tours, discovered that her cremated remains were interred in a rose garden under her married name, Elsa Lanchester Laughton. “For almost 40 years no one had made the connection – until now,” he said in a statement.
Michaels happens to be a historian who unearths the flip side of the Hollywood industry and hidden secrets.

In 1938 she published a book about her relationship with Charles Laughton, Charles Laughton and I. In March 1983, she released an autobiography, titled Elsa Lanchester Herself. They married in 1929.
