After five-years of Sridevi’s death, her husband, Boney Kapoor recently opened up about her passing away and told The New Indian, “It was not a natural death; it was an accidental death. I had decided not to speak about it because I spoke about it for almost 24 or 48 hours together when I was being investigated and interrogated. In fact, the officers said we had to go through this because there was a lot of pressure from Indian media. And they discovered there was no foul play. I went through all the tests, including lie detector tests and all those things. And then, of course, the report which came clearly stated it was accidental.” Boney Kapoor added, “ She often used to starve; she wanted to look good. She wanted to make sure she’s in good shape, so that on-screen, she looks good. From the time she was married to me, she had blackouts on a couple of occasions, and the doctor kept on saying she had a low BP issue.” Dangers of low salt diet Though salt is often considered as the main cause of high blood pressure, water retention and other diseases. Low level of salt can be equally dangerous for health. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), consumption of five grams of salt is normal every day. But having too little could cause serious conditions like coma. Studies have found that our sensitivity to salt varies from person to person, depending on factors as varied as ethnicity, age, body mass index, health and family history of hypertension. One study involving 152 healthy people found that insulin resistance increased after only 7 days on a low sodium diet. The report further explains; low salt can lead to increased risk of death from heart failure. Interestingly, low sodium diets have been linked to an increased risk of death in people with heart failure. One review found that for people with heart failure, limiting sodium intake increased the risk of dying. In fact, the effect was strong — people who restricted their sodium intake had a 160% higher risk of death.
