Housefull 5: Akshay Kumar's comedy not to release on Diwali 2024 due to this reason, actor announces new date

Sajid Nadiadwala and Akshay Kumar were all set to come back for the new Housefull film titled Housefull 5 on Diwali 2024. However, the makers have pushed the film to 2025. They shared a note on X that read- “The Houseful franchise owes its massive success to the audiences, and we hope for a similar reception for Houseful 5. The team has crafted an absolutely mind-blowing story that demands top-notch VFX.” It added, “Therefore, we’ve made the decision to push the release to ensure we deliver five times the entertainment with great cinematic experience. Housefull 5 will now be releasing on 6th June 2025.”

One of the few hit franchises in Bollywood,  Sajid Nadiadwala ‘s  Housefull  has been going strong till now since the release of its 4th installment. While the previous four films were major hits at the box office with lead actors  Akshay Kumar  and  Riteish Deshmukh  remaining consistent faces in every part, several new faces were introduced in the other parts. ‘ Housefull 5  will be the biggest film of the franchise’ Divulging more details about the development, a source close to the development further revealed sometimes back that Nadiadwala who had been planning to create a ‘Housefull universe’ by bringing all the actors under one roof finally locked the plot to justify the presence of the characters. “The plan, for now, is to take Housefull 5 on floors by the end of next year. The film has been in the development stage for quite some time, and now the ambition is getting closer to reality,” the source added.
