Friends is one of the most iconic television sit-coms in history. It has a massive fan-following worldwide but there’s one Hollywood actress who has a critical take on its legacy. The name is Zoë Kravitz. During the promotions of her upcoming film Caught Stealing, she described the humour of the show as ‘homophobic.’
Zoe was quoted saying, “If you watch Friends now you’re like, Whoa,’. Zoe added, “Oh, so much in Friends. Like, things that aren’t punchlines are punchlines. It’s wild. So maybe that? We can keep that there.”
Friends Co-creator Marta Kauffman on the show
Marta once said, “Every time I watch an episode, there’s something I wish I could have changed.”
Matthew Perry
Five people had been charged for allegedly supplying ketamine to “Friends” actor Matthew Perry who died in 2023.
As per federal officials in Los Angeles, the five individuals, who had been charged, exploited the actor’s drug addiction for profit which led to his death due to overdose.
The charges announced last year came after the investigators said they had uncovered an underground network of drug sellers and suppliers who they allege were responsible for distributing the ketamine, a potentially deadly drug, that killed Perry. His body was found in his luxurious Los Angeles home in 2023.
Doctor pleads guilty
The doctor who has pleaded guilty could face imprisonment up to 40 years. The name of the perpetrator is Dr Salvador Plasencia, a spokesperson of the Central District of California said.
A federal court in Los Angeles has found the doctor to be guilty and apart from 40 years in prison, he could also face a fine up to $ 2 million. The doctor even called Perry a ‘Moron’ in one of his text messages.
A statement from the doctor read- “The doctor admits that his conduct fell below the proper standard of medical care and that transfers of ketamine vials to Defendant Iwamasa and Victim M.P. were not for a legitimate medical purpose.”
