Heavy police presence as investigation begins
Following the reported firing, Mumbai Police and crime branch units cordoned off the area and deployed heightened security around the residential tower. Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti confirmed the incident. According to a report in India Today, he said, “Someone fired on the building. Zonal police and the crime branch are investigating.” The polica also added, “The motive behind the attack is still unknown.”
