Golden Globes 2019: Fiji Water girl goes viral after photobombing celebrities on red carpet

Christian Bale may have thanked “Satan” for inspiring him to play Dick Cheney in  Vice   after winning his first Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy Golden Globe award, but who really stole the show was not a celebrity or an actor. She was a mystery brunette holding a tray of Fiji bottled water on the red carpet. Fiji Water has been associated with the awards ceremony since 2015. According to Time , the company teamed up with Matrix Model Staffing to come up with this elaborate marketing strategy. Later revealed as LA-based model Kelleth Cuthbert, she appeared in many red carpet shots of celebrities from Jamie Lee Curtis to Richard Madden. Photographs of the model quickly went viral on social media. “It’s hard to say where (the viral fame) will lead,” Cuthbert told CNET about her new found fame.

 CNET further writes that according to a spokesperson of Twitter, there were about 50,000 mentions on the platform about Cuthbert on the awards night. According to Yahoo Finance , she also helped Fiji Water earn over $12 million in ad impressions.
