Gold: Akshay Kumar's sports film will reportedly mark TV actor Nikita Dutta's Bollywood debut

TV actor Nikita Dutta, who will be soon be seen opposite Zayed Khan and Vatsal Sheth in Haasil, an upcoming romantic thriller show, is reportedly making her Bollywood debut in _Gold_ . According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, the actor has been signed opposite Sunny Kaushal in the Reema Kagti directorial . A source informed the publication that the Ek Duje Ke Vaaste actor has been shooting for the film in Amritsar since the second week of September and has a few more portions to film. After her scenes with Kaushal are filmed, she will reportedly shoot for some significant sequences alongside Akshay Kumar. After the film wraps up, Dutt will resume shooting for Haasil, which has managed to pique the interests of the viewers since it marks Khan’s TV debut. Based on celebrated hockey player Balbir Singh, who led India to victory in three consecutive Olympics in 1948, 1952 and 1956, Gold is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. The film boasts of an ensemble cast and also stars Amit Sadh and Kunal Kapoor. The film is slated to be released during the Independence Day weekend, 2018.
