As the megastar Ram Charan turned a year older on Wednesday, he treated his fans to the first song titled Jaragandi from his much-awaited upcoming film Game Changer. The song was screened at theatres to accompany the re-release of the actor’s magnum opus Magadheera after 15 years on the occasion of his birthday.
The captivating dance beats, thrilling rhythm, and vibrant visuals featuring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani have contributed well to making the song too beautiful to miss.
In the upbeat dance number, Jaragandi, Ram Charan and Kiara’s chemistry is almost palpable. It features the duo dressed in traditional wear grooving to the peppy beats of the song amid a colourful backdrop and an energetic team of dancers. The vibrant costumes and a rural setup enhanced the visual appeal, making the foot-tapping number appear more enriching.
Jaragandi has been sung by Daler Mehndi and Sunidhi Chauhan whereas Anantha Sriram stepped in to write its lyrics. On the other hand, the music has been composed by Thaman S. It is pertinent to note that the song was first slated for its release on November 12, 2023, coinciding with Diwali. However, due to some unavoidable circumstances, the makers postponed its release and issued an statement that read, “Due to unavoidable audio documentation issues between different firms, the release of ‘Jaragandi’ song from ‘Game Changer’ stands postponed. We will be back with an update about the same at a later date (sic).”
The film, Game Changer, after facing its own set of delays, has been pushed to release in September 2024. Directed by S Shankar, the film will mark the reunion of Ram Charan and Kiara after they appeared in the 2019 film Vinaya Vidheya Rama. If the reports are to be believed, Game Changer will feature the RRR actor in the role of an IAS officer, Ram Nandan fighting against three formidable antagonists portrayed by Srikanth, SJ Surya, and Naveen Chandra. The actor will be portraying both the younger Ram Nandan and his father, Appanna in the much-awaited film.
