Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Netflix have joined hands for a grand and glittery series titled Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.
The series by Bhansali Productions comprises a cast of sparkling heeras, including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, Richa Chadha, and Sanjeeda Sheikh. And each of them has been given a stunning and breathless look:
Manisha Koirala
Koirala reunites with SLB after the poignant and gorgeous Khamoshi: The Muscial (1996).
Aditi Rao Hydari
It’s reunion time for Hydari too as she too joins the filmmaker for the second time after charming us with her fragility in his magnum opus Padmaavat (2018).
Sonakshi Sinha
Sinha has seen the period world in Kalank (2019) and she jumps into it again, only with a far more experienced filmmaker behind the lenses.
Richa Chadha
Chadha is the third actor in the ensemble to have worked with Bhansali before, hers happened in 2013’s Ram Leela, and here too, she fills the frame with swag and style.

And there’s Sharmin Segal too.
In the midst of a power struggle in Heeramandi, a young heir caught in the crossfire chooses love over succession, disrupting the status quo. Set in pre-independent India against a burgeoning freedom movement, the final thread holding the art of tawaifs (courtesans) is put to the test.
Hailed as the grandest and most-awaited series of the year, the creative visionary, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is set to unveil his 14-year passion project in collaboration with Netflix, to global audiences.
