Fatwa issued against Thalapathy Vijay for inviting anti-social elements like alcoholics and gamblers to his Iftaar party in Chennai

Thalapathy Vijay recently hosted an Iftaar party in Chennai and social media users had a lot of reactions. But now, he has landed in trouble as a Fatwa has been issued against him by the National President of All India Muslim Jamaat, Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly.

The Maulana said, ‘There is a prominent personality from Tamil Nadu, named Vijay Thalapathy, who has formed a party called TVK. Now, he wants to transition from the film industry to politics.’

He added, ‘During his time in the film industry, he portrayed Muslims as terrorists in several of his films, attempting to defame Muslims in various ways. Now, he is trying to present a political face and make his way into the Muslim community.’

“He recently hosted an iftar party and invited gamblers, alcoholics, and other anti-social elements, which has irked the Muslim community in Tamil Nadu,” he said.

Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay hosted an ‘Iftar’ during Ramzan and even wore a skullcap. The videos and pictures had gone viral on social media.

A netizen wrote, “Did he visit the Kumbh? It’s not about secularism or respecting all religions for these thugs. It’s only about appeasement. Shameful.” Another netizen wrote, “They know this game exactly very well.”

One of the netizens wrote, “Those who are saying this is appeasement for their knowledge tamil nadu only has 5% Muslim population so no party needs their support to win elections.” An internet user wrote, “This is totally appeasement politics. If he has to do this, why only one day? They will never talk about the participation of Muslims, always focused on seeking votes.”
