Farzi 2 on the cards? Here is what Shahid Kapoor has to say

Shahid Kapoor won over numerous hearts with his outstanding performance as the disillusioned artist Sunny in the black comedy, Farzi. Given that the web series received a lot of love and admiration from the audience, movie buffs were looking forward to the second season of the show. Recently, the protagonist of the web series, Shahid Kapoor confirmed the sequel to Farzi. Talking to Pinkvilla, the Jab We Met actor recently revealed that the second season of the web show is taking place for sure.

Shahid Kapoor confirms Farzi Season 2 Shahid Kapoor confirmed that the second season of Farzi is definitely happening. He said, “So of course, the second season of Farzi will happen. I mean, the response was amazing. Also, the way the story ended, it was open-ended so there is an opportunity for a lot more to happen. It was not like a culmination." For the unversed, the first season of the show ended on a cliffhanger. The last scene features the protagonist burning the entire consignment of the fake currency. On the other hand,  Megha (Raashii Khanna), whom Sunny (Shahid Kapoor) has fallen for, is on the verge of realising that her boyfriend is the criminal she has been tracking down all along. Such an ending left a lot of scope for another season of the show. During the same conversation, Shahid Kapoor further revealed that he has not approved any other project on the OTT yet. All About Farzi  Directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, Farzi features Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, Raashii Khanna and Bhuvan Arora in key roles, among others. Bankrolled by the production banner of D2R Films, the show revolves around a disillusioned artist who decides to make counterfeit money to fulfill his dream of becoming rich fast. It would be thrilling to see how the makers take the storyline forward. What’s next for Shahid Kapoor? In addition to Farzi 2, Shahid Kapoor will also be seen sharing the screen with Kriti Sanon in a yet-to-be-titled film. Amit Joshi’s directorial will mark Shahid Kapoor’s first professional association with the Mimi actress. Financed by Dinesh Vijan, the untitled venture will be reaching the audience during the Valentine’s Day weekend next year in 2024.   Additionally, Shahid Kapoor will also be a part of Roshan Andrew’s forthcoming thriller, Koi Shaq.
