Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna & Fahadh Faasil starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule is finally hitting the screens tomorrow after a long wait and anticipation. The massy actioner has shattered records in its presales in booking and is expected to take an earth-shattering opening at the box office.
Ahead of the grand release of Pushpa 2, Firstpost got in touch with the prominent trade expert and industry tracker Ramesh Bala got in touch to know the box office craze about this pan-India biggie.
When asked about the opening day collection of the film in the country, Bala said, “See, I think the whole of India it can do Rs 75 crore nett in Hindi-speaking states (Hindi dubbed version). And probably Rs 100 crores in Telugu states. So, I’m thinking overall India, it can do, like Rs 200 crore on its opening day.”
When asked whether the long duration of the film (3 hours 21 minutes) will affect its business due to limited shows, he replied, “They can have a lot of shows at multiplexes. But _Animal_ (Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna starrer) has done well with this run time. So we have to watch tonight or tomorrow to see if the long duration is impeding the entertainment quotient. If it’s like an Animal, it means it’s not a problem. It can do well. But, of course, the number of shows scheduled by multiplex, if it is 2 hours means they can do one extra show, but this one, they can’t do any extra show. From that point of view, it will be affected.”
Talking about the Pushpa 2 craze in the South states, Bala said, “You can say in Bangalore, the craze is more. In, Kerala also the craze is there. Tamil Nadu, it’s okay. It’s medium.”
Sharing his extended opening weekend prediction of Pushpa 2, he said, “I’m expecting it to be at least, Rs 400 to 450 crore in the 4-day long weekend.”
