In an exclusive interview with Firstpost, the musical group KhoslaRaghu spoke about their track Aao Bhula Dein and much more. Talking about what inspired them about the track, they said, “We feel, everyone in their lifetime comes to a stage where they realize that they are in a relationship which doesn’t workout the way they wanted it to because of whatever the circumstances may be. And sometimes moving on from that stage becomes very hard and painful. So that emotion was certainly our inspiration for this EP and we have tried to portray the same through our songs.”
When asked about the narrative of the EP and how do the four tracks –Parchhaaiyan, Wafaaein, Aao Bhula Dein, and Khwaab – connect to tell this story, they said, “The EP basically talks about an incomplete relationship. How sometimes we expect too much and things don’t work out. It’s an ode to the struggles of moving on from that relationship where you are very close to someone but the circumstances are such that the only option is to forget everything that’s left behind and move on. So every song talks about a different stage of that relationship.”
On what makes Aao Bhula Dein stand out
Aao Bhula Dein was the 1st song we made out of all these tracks, back in 2021. It has been with us for quite some time now and whoever heard the song loved it in one go. It also happens to be very close to us because both of us love some of the greatest rock bands all around the world and their music inspired us to attempt something on the soft rock side and the outcome was Aao Bhula Dein.
We just felt the song has a certain kind of pull that attracted us whenever we heard it. And hence we decided to make it the focus track. It also helped us perfectly communicate the theme of the EP which is why we decided on making the music video for this one and keeping this track as the highlight.
On approaching the composition and production of this EP
We just keep it as natural as it can be. Both of us love making music together and it’s always exciting to share ideas and try to execute them in the studio to see what the final product sounds like.
Most of this EP was made in Dublin when both of us were studying abroad. We used to meet up in a studio at night and jam on some compositions and lyrics and ended up making this EP. One of the best experiences we’ve had and something we’ll keep close to us!
On audience takes away from listening to Aao Bhula Dein
Heartbreak and moving on are indeed topics maybe every song writer ends up writing about atleast once or even more. But that’s the beauty of it. These topic are so common yet everyone has their own approach to it and everything is different. Aao Bhula Dein is our take on it. We just hope everyone enjoys listening to it and relate to it in the way we do. We have been receiving amazing love for this EP so we’d like to thank our listeners and supporters for that. We are grateful!
