Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa starrer Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, which released during the Diwali period has raked in Rs 26.08 crore in 3 days at the box office. While the film is doing great business, the Milap Zaveri directorial has been garnering criticism for promoting ’toxicity'.
“No, a good movie, I guess not. Not respecting a woman’s consent, mental torture is named as deewaniyat. For me, it was ridiculous 👎. The sorry in the climax was not enough. You gave enough third-class content to the misogynous generation," wrote a netizen.
“More serial than cinema 😭 Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat really said 1,000 episodes in 2 hours," another user shared. “Today I went to watch the movie Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat , then I regretted why I came to watch it 😃. In this movie, there’s only one good thing, and that’s its ending because after that you’ll feel free. In this movie, Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa are in the lead roles. You’ll keep searching for the story of this movie. In this movie, you can’t apply logic anywhere; you’ll laugh hearing the dialogues of this movie. The music of this movie is good, which you can listen to on YouTube," commented another user.
“Ladki na bol rahi hai, phir bhi hero ko zabardasti karna hai bhai? Stalker and violent bankar uska zindagi kharab karna hai? Kya bana rahe ho bhai? WHO is watching this? 2025 mein hai yaar hum, can’t we do better? Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has crossed all limits of ghatiyapan!" read another comment.
The movie also features Shaad Randhawa, Sachin Khedekar, and Ananth Narayan Mahadevan in prominent roles.
