Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, featuring Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa, has turned out to be a super hit at the box office. The film is set to cross the Rs 80 crore mark this weekend. While it has emerged as the highest grosser of the lead protagonist, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has crossed the business of Salman Khan starrer Sikandar in the Bihar market.
The romantic drama is now the fifth Bollywood hit of the year after Chhaava, Sitaare Zameen Par, Raid 2, and Saiyaara.

Rane, the leading man of the film, recently visited a multiplex to gauge the audience’s reaction to the film and express his gratitude for their love for both his film and Ayushmann Khurrana’s Thamma.
The actor said, “This Diwali, you supported the films of two outsiders. Ayushmann Khurrana’s film has released along with mine. Watch both the films, please, and enjoy both. This sends a good message out that aap logon ne akele poora ka poora Bollywood se nepotism hi khatm kar diya (you people alone finished nepotism from the entire Bollywood)."
Talking about the review, Firstpost gave the film 2 stars and wrote, “The most lenient thing that can be said about this romantic saga is that it gives Rane a platform he always yearned for. But the film that he has chosen or that chose him feels 30 years too late despite the success of obsessive (read obnoxious) lovers like Kabir Singh and Kundan. Post Saiyaara, it’s great to see romance coming back and filmmakers taking a break from bloodshed and breaking bones. But if romance means _Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat_, let’s break some bones then.”
