Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat box office: Harshvardhan Rane-Sonam Bajwa starrer joins the ranks of Chhaava, Stree 2, Saiyaara and Singham Again - here's how

Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa starrer Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has not only turned out to be one of the biggest surprises of the year, but it has also joined the ranks of some Bollywood biggies in achieving some milestones.

While the romantic drama is marching towards the Rs 60 crore mark, it will soon cross the Rs 3 crore mark in Bihar, which has been by films like only Saiyaara, Chhaava, War 2, Housefull 5, Raid 2, Sitaare Zameen Par and Sikandar this year. On the other hand, Stree 2, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Singham Again, Fighter and Shaitaan achieved this feat last year at the box office.

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat is a relatively small film compared to the movies mentioned above, and hence, this milestone is significant and noteworthy.

Rane, the leading man of the film, recently went at a multiplex to check the reaction of the film and thank the audience for their love on both his film and Ayushmann Khurrana’s Thamma.

The actor said, “This Diwali, you supported the films of two outsiders. Ayushmann Khurrana’s film has released along with mine. Watch both the films, please, and enjoy both. This sends a good message out that aap logon ne akele poora ka poora Bollywood se nepotism hi khatm kar diya (you people alone finished nepotism from the entire Bollywood)."

The movie also features Shaad Randhawa, Sachin Khedekar and Ananth Narayan Mahadevan in key roles.
