Adarsh Gourav introduces Nicolas Cage's dark comedy 'Dream Scenario at Jio MAMI year round programme

The Year Round Programme by Jio MAMI launched the first invite-only screening for the year with the globally acclaimed dark comedy ‘Dream Scenario’ in association with PVR INOX Pictures. The film is produced by another maverick filmmaker, Ari Aster, and it’s written and directed by Norwegian director Kristoffer Borgli. Dream Scenario is a dark comedy that revolves around the life of Paul Matthews (played by Nicolas Cage), a seemingly ordinary biology lecturer, who unexpectedly finds himself immersed in a bizarre world of dreams and viral fame.

With his sudden appearance in the dreams of countless individuals, Paul becomes an overnight sensation, grappling with the consequences of his new-found fame and a subject of everyone’s judgement. As his life takes unexpected turns, the film poses some thought-provoking questions around the complexities of the human psyche and the blurred lines between reality and illusion.

Following its resounding success at the Toronto International Film Festival and commendable opening in New York and Los Angeles, ‘Dream Scenario’ will now hit theatres across India on January 5, 2024.
