Disha Patani may replace Kriti Sanon in Mohit Suri's next film starring Aditya Roy Kapur
Mohit Suri had reportedly approached Kriti Sanon for the film, but her dates clashed with Housefull 4. Now Disha Patani is being considered for the same role.
With director Mohit Suri announcing his upcoming venture, starring Aditya Roy Kapur, there was much buzz regarding the female star cast of the film. Of all the names, Kriti Sanon's was the most prominent one and many reports claimed that she was already roped in. Now it seems Disha Patani is all set to replace the Raabta actor in the film.
The 2013 romantic musical Aashiqui 2 catapulted the Bollywood career of Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor in a significant way. The actors were previously either seen in smaller films or as supporting cast; but the Mohit Suri directorial paved their way to lead roles in Hindi cinema.
According to a report by DNA, Suri had approached Sanon in the first place but her dates for this film clashed with those allotted for Housefull 4. Suri reportedly didn't intend to suspend his schedule and hence considered Patani for the same role.
The DNA report also suggests that sources within the industry claim that a confirmation regarding this development will be out soon (in about a week) as Patani gives her nod to do the film. The film is reportedly a love triangle. While Aditya and Patani (if she accepts the offer) are two characters in the film, another male lead will also be roped in.
Disha Patani is all set to be seen opposite Tiger Shroff in Ahmed Khan's upcoming Baaghi 2. The film is slated to release 30 March.
