Sandeep Reddy Vanga shocked everyone with his viral post where he slammed actress Deepika Padukone after her exit from his upcoming movie Spirit featuring Prabhas. Taking to X, the Animal helmer shared a cryptic tweet. The director didn’t mention Deepika Padukone but slammed her for her ‘dirty PR games’ and revealing some parts of her film’s story.
Now, actor Adivi Sesh has spoken about the controversy too after almost the whole of the Indian film industry. The actor told Pinkvilla, “This is not a 9-5 job.”
He added, “Because film is made for 12 hours, 8 hours, 6 hours, it is their wish. It is being oversimplified if you are saying that work needs to be 8-6 hours. This is not 9 to 5 work.”
Sesh continued, “As far as I am concerned, I think it’s entirely based on the agreement between the filmmaker and the actor. Practically, it will not work if they have to shoot. If 20 more days get added to the schedule and the budget is not there, how do they accommodate it? I think whatever it should be, it should be agreed upon beforehand. Motherhood or otherwise.”
Deepika Padukone quits The Intern
As per a report by Mid-day, the actress has quit her home production The Intern opposite Amitabh Bachchan too, and a new leading lady will be cast opposite the legend. She will now serve as the producer on the remake.
But the actress is definitely on board for Allu Arjun and Atlee’s next magnum opus. A source told Pinkvilla, “ Deepika Padukone has begun prep for the film and is expected to join the set in the month of November 2025. She has allotted 100 days for the film shoot and is expected to can dramatic and action-packed sequences through the journey. It’s Deepika Padukone like never before, along with Allu Arjun. The team has designed a special look of a warrior as well as weapons for Deepika’s character.”
