Dhruva Natchathiram: Gautham Menon's upcoming film starring Vikram to be a trilogy

Kollywood’s ace thriller helmer Gautham Menon is all set to offer another gritty and rivetting experience with his upcoming film, Dhruva Natchathiram .

Starring Vikram, Ritu Varma and Aishwarya Rajesh in lead roles, this film, like most of Menon’s films, will be a high-action spy thriller. The film is reportedly going to be a part of a trilogy series, whose first installment is slated to release in April 2018.

Film trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted saying that the first installment is reportedly going to be titled Ondraga. He posted:

The “storyline” that he mentions in the above tweet refers to another development around the film. It is reported that the upcoming film will revolve around 10 friends who take the onus to protect and safeguard the nation’s security, for which they disguise themselves and sport different looks.

Ondraga will reportedly chronicle the life of four friends who reunite after ten years. The film will be shot entirely in the US.

Ondraga, slated to release in 2018, will feature four major stars from the four south Indian film industries (Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada). It is reported that Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar has already been roped in for the film. Academy Award-winning music composer AR Rahman is most likely to compose music for the film.

Bala tweets:

The Indian Express’ report suggests that Dhruva Natchathiram has been shot in places like Slovenia, Bulgaria, Abu Dhabi, Georgia and Turkey. The regular shooting of the film is being done in Coonoor.
