Deepika Padukone's brand 82°E faces loss of over Rs 25 crore in first nine months of FY2024, Katrina Kaif's Kay Beauty expected to grow by 62%

Many Bollywood celebrities have ventured into entrepreneurship like Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.

As per a report by Storyboard18, Hrithik Roshan’s brand HRX has crossed the Rs 1000 crore mark in terms of revenue and is doing exponentially well. Katrina Kaif’s Kay Beauty is expected to grow by 62%, and Deepika Padukone’s brand 82°E faces loss of over Rs 25 crore in first nine months of FY2024.

Anushka Sharma’s NUSH and Virat Kohli’s WROGN aren’t in the profit margin either.

Deepika Padukone addressed pricing increases of her products during an interview with CNBC-TV 18, saying, “If I am selling you a Rs 2,500 product, then rest assured I am also using it everyday. The way we have been able to build our brand is by being consistent and true to who we are.”

A lot of employees have died by suicides or of heart attacks over the last few months and people have had multiple debates on social media regarding the toxicity of the corporate culture. Amid this, an interview of Deepika Padukone has gone viral where she says “For most of us, finding those spaces may not be the most convenient, accessible or may not even exist! And that’s why, whenever I do get the opportunity, I try and make the most of it. It’s where I don’t just survive, I thrive!”

She added, “Stepping away allows me to pause, breathe and re-align… myself and my thoughts.”

Back in 2014, Deepika Padukone  revealed  that she has been suffering from depression and has taken professional help to deal with it. However, if sources were to be believed, she isn’t the only one trying to cope with the problem.

DNA quoted a source saying that Padukone’s beau, Ranveer Singh, was also suffering from depression. Apparently, it was Singh’s friend, who had put up a Facebook status about committing suicide and before Singh or anyone from his friend’s family could help, he had shot himself. That had left a deep impact on Singh and he has been suffering from ‘grief mixed with guilt’ ever since.
