And finally, the biggest update of the week or rather year has been shared by Hrithik Roshan. Krrish 4, which has been in the news for years, will finally see the day of light as the megastar himself will helm the superhero movie. Yes, you heard it right. Hrithik Roshan will make his directorial debut with Krrish 4 and the biggie will be jointly produced by Aditya Chopra’s YRF and Rakesh Roshan’s Filmkraft Productions.
The first three installments - Koi Mil Gaya, Krrish and Krrish 3 were helmed by Rakesh Roshan. While Hrithik played dual roles of father-son Rohit and Krishna aka Krrish, Preity Zinda was the lead actress in the first part with Priyanka Chopra in the second. In third part, Kangana Ranaut also had a meaty role alongside Priyanka Chopra and Vivek Oberoi.
Rakesh Roshan recently said in an interview that he doesn’t have budget for Krrish 4 while talking to Gaana. “Kaafi saal se wait kar rahe hain lekin mera budgeting ho nahi raha hai. Picture ka scale bada hai. Scale chota karta hoon toh ek aam picture lagti hai. The world has become smaller. Aaj kal ke jo bacche hain, voh superheroes ki pictures itni dekh chuke hain ki unhe thoda sa bhi kuch fault nazar aayega toh criticise karenge," he had said adding, “We have to be very careful. Aur hum uss paimaane (Marvel, DC) ki picture bana nahi sakte hain. Itne paise hote nahi hain humare paas. Our budget doesn’t allow us… Hume kahani pe zyada concentrate karna padta hai. Halaki bade bade sequences honge picture main par agar 10 nahi honge toh 2 honge ya 3 honge."
Well, with the joint collaboration with YRF and Filmkraft, we expect Krrish 4 to be a big screen spectacle. On the work front, Hrithik will be next seen in War 2 alongside Jr NTR and Kiara Advani.
