After Pathaan, Jawan and Gadar 2, Animal has become the 4th Hindi film to enter the Rs 500 crore club at the box office. Since Dunki and Salaar are arriving this week, it would be interesting to see how the Ranbir Kapoor starrer performs at the box office. Before the release of the film, during the Chennai event, Ranbir revealed why film’s title is _Animal_ and said, “I think the reason why Sandeep Reddy Vanga called this film Animal is because animal behaves out of instinct. They don’t behave out of thought. So this character that I’m playing, he behaves out of instinct to protect his family. He is not thinking he is behaving out of instinct, he is impulsive, and I think that’s where the title Animal came and once you see the film you’ll realize that this film suits this title.”
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga of Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy fame, Animal also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimri, Sonali Batra and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. It locked horns with Vicky Kaushal, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra starrer Sam Bahadur at the ticket windows.
