Salman Khan may reunite with Mujhse Shadi Karogi co-star Priyanka Chopra for Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat
Ali Abbas Zafar reportedly offered Priyanka Chopra the role opposite Salman Khan in Bharat when he met her on the sets of Quantico in New York.
Priyanka Chopra, who now has become a global icon, was last seen in Bollywood in Jai Gangajal (2016) as a cop. Ever since she left for greener pastures in Hollywood, her fans have been waiting for her next film in Hindi cinema.
Keeping the several rumors of her signing the Rakesh Sharma biopic opposite Aamir Khan aside, now it has been reported that Priyanka will be seen next opposite Salman Khan in Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat. Though a number of speculations on the Quantico star's return to Bollywood have been made earlier, DNA reports that her next film outing opposite Salman is confirmed.
If that is the case, Bharat will be Salman and Priyanka's long due reunion after God Tussi Great Ho which released 10 years ago. This powerhouse couple were also seen together in hits like Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004) and Salaam-e-Ishq: A Tribute to Love (2007).
The same report states that Ali met Priyanka in New York on the sets of Quantico. As Ali and Priyanka did Gunday together, it is safe to assume they already share a comfort zone. Bharat's shooting will start in April and Chopra will reportedly adjust her Hollywood schedule accordingly.
Atul Agnihotri's production Bharat is an adaptation of the Korean movie Ode to My Father. The makers already announced that they are planning a high octane cross-border period drama. The film is slated to release on Eid 2019.
